How the Competition Company Works

The Dancers Unite Competition Company has select regional competitions and one national competition that are mandatory for all Company Members.  The regional competitions are held either in Charlotte or very close to Charlotte.  The national competition takes place on the East Coast, generally North or South Carolina.  Company Members are given a schedule at the beginning of the year, and the directors need to be notified of any date conflicts immediately.

Competition Company Members also have once a week rehearsal classes for their competition routines.  In addition to rehearsals, competition company members have certain required dance classes to help with the technical aspects of their dancing.  Company Members are expected to have great attendance to these dance classes and give 100% effort during these dance classes.
